ANGELA KELMAN
As yet another talented product of Manitoba, Angela spent her early years working around Winnipeg, Canada in various musical projects. Tom and Angela, Java, Serious Business, and The Argyles, in addition to the many radio and TV appearances provided the basis for the career that was to come. In 1989, Angela traveled to Hollywood, California to study at The Musician’s Institute, where she graduated with honours.
After returning to Canada, Angela worked for ten years with the group, Farmer’s Daughter, where she wrote, recorded and performed as a lead singer. Defined as a contemporary country sound, the group also had an entertaining blend of many other musical styles. Representing considerable success, their credits include two gold albums, a Juno Award, two CCMA Awards, Big Country Awards, and numerous BCCMA and West Coast Music Awards. As their profile was building, Farmer’s Daughter also appeared regularly on television, where some of their appearances involved hosting their own specials. Other appearances were featured on Canada AM, Pamela Wallin Live, CBC Newsworld, Mike Bullard, Vicki Gabreau, Dini Petty, and It’s A Living. Furthermore, their 12 videos have been shown frequently on CMT.

far and wide internationally. In places such as Hong Kong, The Philippines,
